Refund policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Every piece at Dalia's is handcrafted to order using organic botanicals and artisan resin. Because of the custom, perishable, and sentimental nature of our work, this policy is different from a typical retail store. Please read it carefully before placing an order. By completing a purchase or booking, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

1. Custom Preservation Orders (Your Flowers)

Custom preservation orders include any piece made with flowers or botanicals you provide (e.g., wedding bouquets, memorial and event florals).

  • All custom preservation orders are final sale. They cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once your flowers have been received by our studio, because the preservation process begins immediately and cannot be reversed.
  • Booking deposits are non-refundable. Your deposit reserves your studio date, materials, and design time, and is applied toward your final balance.
  • Cancellations before your flowers arrive: You may cancel in writing before your flowers are delivered to or picked up by us. Your deposit is forfeited; any amount paid above the deposit will be refunded.
  • Cancellations after your flowers arrive: Not permitted. The full order balance remains due.
  • Design changes: Changes requested after your design is approved, or after work has begun, may incur additional fees and extend your timeline.
  • Final payment is due before your finished piece ships or is picked up.
  • Unclaimed pieces: If a completed piece remains unpaid or unclaimed 60 days after we notify you that it is ready, a storage fee may apply. If it remains unclaimed 90 days after notice, and following a final written notice, the piece and all payments made may be considered forfeited.

2. The Nature of Preserved Botanicals

Preserved flowers are natural materials, and each piece is one of a kind. The following are normal characteristics of the art form and are not considered defects or grounds for a refund, remake, or exchange:

  • Color changes during drying, including darkening, fading, deepening, or browning at petal edges. White and pale flowers commonly turn cream, ivory, or tan.
  • Changes in flower shape, size, or texture, and minor petal loss or breakage during drying.
  • Natural imperfections already present in your flowers (bruising, wilting, browning, or damage on arrival).
  • Small micro-bubbles, slight variations in resin clarity or tint, and minor surface characteristics inherent to handmade resin work.
  • Variation between your finished piece and sample photos, mock-ups, or how colors appear on your screen.
  • Gradual yellowing or color change in resin or botanicals over time, especially with exposure to sunlight, UV light, heat, or humidity.

We use our artistic judgment to select and arrange the best-quality blooms from your arrangement. Not every flower may be used. If your flowers arrive in poor condition, we will contact you before proceeding.

3. Flowers in Transit

Shipping or delivering your flowers to our studio is at your own risk. We are not responsible for flowers that are lost, delayed, or damaged by a carrier or third party before they are received by us, or for the condition of flowers that arrive late or deteriorated. Please follow our flower shipping and care instructions closely.

4. Ready-Made Pieces (In-Stock Items)

Ready-made pieces are finished items that do not contain customer-provided flowers.

  • Eligible ready-made pieces may be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused and in original condition and packaging.
  • You must contact us for a Return Authorization before sending anything back. Returns sent without authorization will be refused.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Returns must be securely packed, tracked, and insured for full value. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable. A 15% restocking fee applies to all approved returns.
  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days after we receive and inspect the item.
  • Not eligible for return: sale or clearance items, gift cards, personalized or engraved items, made-to-order or custom-size pieces (including tables and furniture), commissioned work, and items showing signs of use, damage, or missing packaging.
  • We do not offer direct exchanges. To exchange an eligible item, return it and place a new order.

5. Items Damaged in Shipping

  • Inspect your order immediately upon delivery. Damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery by emailing us your order number and clear photos of the item, all packaging, and the shipping label. Claims reported after 48 hours cannot be accepted.
  • Keep all original packaging until your claim is resolved; carriers may require it for inspection.
  • For large or freight deliveries, inspect the item before signing and note any visible damage on the delivery receipt.
  • Ready-made pieces: we will, at our discretion, repair, replace, or refund the item.
  • Custom preservation pieces: we will repair the piece where possible, or recreate it if reserved botanicals remain. Because original flowers are irreplaceable, we cannot guarantee a recreation.

6. Limitation of Liability

We understand the deep sentimental value of your flowers and handle them with the utmost care. However, flowers and botanicals are perishable, natural materials, and results cannot be guaranteed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to an order, including loss of or damage to customer-provided flowers, is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for sentimental, emotional, or replacement value.

7. Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by law.

8. Payment Disputes

If you have any concern with your order, please contact us first. We are committed to resolving issues directly and quickly. In the event of a payment dispute or chargeback, we will provide this policy, your order confirmation and acknowledgment, design approvals, and related communications to your payment provider.

9. Questions and Requests

To request a return authorization, report damage, or ask a question about this policy, email us at hello@flowerpreserves.com with your order number. We respond within 2 business days.

Dalia's Luxury Flower Preservation and Botanical Art reserves the right to update this policy at any time. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to your order.
